Storyline: Oh no! Not another Snow White Play! But have no fear! This fresh and funny adaptation will make even the most jaded folks laugh out loud as it expands the Brothers Grimm tale with new characters who have always lived between the lines of the classic fairy tale. This version, using a fun frame story of a contemporary mom reading to her bickering children, is loaded with bright new faces and comedic twists. We meet a gaggle of forest animals, friendly
Dwarf Villagers, a troupe of ladies in waiting with a penchant for limericks, the huntsman's squabbling conscience and even a rapping magic mirror. Musical styles of all genres fuse to create a rousing mixture of hip hop, rock and roll,
doo-wop and more!
Auditions consist of cold readings from the script and singing music from the show which will be taught at the audition. We will be casting approximately 40 performers ages 8 to adult. For more information or a complete list of

Performances Dates will be: April 14, 15 & 21 at 2:00 pm and April 14 & 20 at 2:00 pm on the Park School Campus Stage. Tickets are $5 per person in advance or at the door; children 2 and under are free.

Storyline for Sleepy Hollow: When schoolmaster Ichabod Crane arrives in the small town of Sleepy Hollow, he is immediately attracted to the beautiful and wealthy Katrina Van Tassel. This infuriates Katrina's jealous boyfriend Brom Bones who makes it his mission to rid the town of Ichabod Crane. When Brom throws him out of a party to walk home alone, Ichabod Crane is never seen again. Was he the victim of the ghost of the Headless Horseman or Brom Bones? You decide in this classic ghost story.
Storyline for The Music Man, Jr: This bright musical follows the fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boy's band he vows to organize — this despite he fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.
This workshop is designed for the older more experienced performer to take their training to the next level. Participants will work on polishing their singing, dancing and acting skills as they rehearse a fully staged performance. Admittance into this workshop is by audition only. If cast in the show, there is a production fee which includes theatre instructors, vocal coaching, rehearsal materials, production requirements, two tickets to one of the final performances and a production t-shirt. No Class March 10, 28 & 31 and April 11 & 14.
Mandatory Parent Meeting & Read Through: March 14 from 6:30-8:30p.m. at the Robert W. Rolek Community Center.
Additional Rehearsal Dates: June 11-14 and June 18-21 from 6:30-8:30 pm.

3rd - 12th Graders Can Audition for:

Auditions Held On May 14 & 15 at 6:30 pm
at the Robert W. Rolek Community Center
Storyline: As You Like It is considered by many to be one of Shakespeare's greatest comedies. Rosalind, the daughter of a banished duke falls in love with Orlando the disinherited son of one of the duke's friends. When she is
banished from the court by her usurping uncle, Duke Frederick , Rosalind switches genders and as Ganymede travels with her loyal cousin Celia and the jester Touchstone to the Forest of Arden, where her father and his friends
live in exile. Observations on life and love follow, friends are made, and families are reunited.
Auditions are for grades 3-12 only Roles are available for 15-20 performers. For a complete cast list and character descriptions, e-mail Christi Nicholson at cnicholson@rlapd.org. The audition will consist of participation in acting games and cold readings from the script. Performers may choose to bring a 1 minute comedic Shakespeare monologue to showcase their talents but this is not required. If cast in the show, participants will be asked to pay a $55 activity fee. This fee includes the cost of two tickets to the performance.

Ages 16 through Adult Can Audition for:

Auditions Held On May 14 & 15 at 6:30 pm

Storyline: The beautiful and gentle Bianca has no shortage of admirers but her father insists that she will not marry until her shrewish sister, Katharina, is betrothed. Bianca's suitors persuade fortune-seeker Petruchio to court her.
Sparks fly between Katharina and Petruchio and they enter into various slanging matches but not to be put off Petruchio marries Katharina. Once she is his wife Petruchio sets out to "tame the shrew" with hilarious results.
Auditions are for performers age 16 and older. Roles are available for approximately 21 performers. Participants may prepare a monologue from one of Shakespeare's plays or simply participate in cold readings at the audition. Those unsure of how to prepare should attend the audition workshop on May 2 from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Storyline: Everyone's favorite knothead gets an extreme makeover in this hip and hilarious musical adaptation of the classic tale of a talking puppet who gets into all kinds of trouble before learning what it truly means to be human. This adaptation puts a fresh and contemporary spin on the scenes and characters from the original classic with lots of slapstick humor, clever wordplay and a wide range of musical styles including hip-hop, gypsy swing, bluegrass and good ol' rock 'n' roll!

Dance Auditions – June 2 at 6:30p.m. In addition to a large singing and dancing ensemble, this show offers many opportunities for featured dancers. These dancers would not have to sing or speak, and would be featured in 3-4 numbers.
Performances Dates will be: August 10 & 11 at 7:00 pm; August 11 & 12 at 2:00 pm; August 11 at 2:00 pm.
