We Appreciate Our Volunteers!
Volunteers have been a vital part of the Round Lake Area Park District since 1974. The volunteer program encourages community involvement as well as assistance with numerous recreational programs, special events, park cleanup projects, and conservation efforts. Volunteers build and improve communities by becoming active participants along with park district staff. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age with a strong interest in providing a community service. In certain programs younger volunteers are appropriate. A variety of short term, seasonal and on-going projects are available.

Environmental Educational/Ongoing Programs
Are you willing to share your love for the environment, teach others a special talent or skill or just want to lend a helping hand? Our Prairie Grass Nature Museum and Parks Department has opportunities year around that could meet the community's needs.

Youth Athletics
Give the gift of your time, energy and love of the game. Be a coach! Positions are available for our regular recreational sport leagues as well as our Special Recreation department.

Special Events
Help with a variety of activities at special events including our Egg Hunt, July 4th Celebration, Fall Country Festival and Craft Show, Earth Day activities through our Children's Neighborhood and Prairie Grass Nature Museums, Great Pumpkin Festival, one of our 5K Run/Walks, Holiday Festival or Pet Events!

Performing Arts
Have a passion for the theatre? Many opportunities exist, including set design and costuming. Who knows? You may have a latent talent and want to eventually audition!

Community Outreach
Reach out and have a positive impact on area youth -Reach One on Wednesdays serves at-risk youth through our Ranger Police department. To see these children have the opportunity to be treated to a night of food, fun and friends is one of our most rewarding volunteer experiences.

Conservation
Enjoy the outdoors as you assist with the annual bird count, (done at Renwood Golf Course).

Be a Volunteer - The Rewards are Great and the Benefits are Endless!
